賈伯斯的身體狀況仍然是外界對於Apple最大的質疑，也是Apple最大的隱憂。在經過兩次因病暫離後，今天賈伯斯再次向內部員工發表請假缺席的聲明，對Apple來說，絕對是最大的震撼也是2011年最大的挑戰。

賈伯斯健康問題再次浮現

今天Apple證實賈伯斯將在即日起因健康理由而請假，不過仍然會維持公司CEO的職位並且參與重大商品、策略的決策。

At my request, the board of directors has granted me a medical leave of absence so I can focus on my health. I will continue as CEO and be involved in major strategic decisions for the company.I have asked Tim Cook to be responsible for all of Apple's day to day operations.

I have great confidence that Tim and the rest of the executive management team will do a terrific job executing the exciting plans we have in place for 2011.

I love Apple so much and hope to be back as soon as I can. In the meantime, my family and I would deeply appreciate respect for our privacy.

目前沒有賈伯斯重返職位的時間表，在2004年時賈伯斯被診斷有胰腺癌，經過治療和休息後回到工作崗位，2009年時以內分泌失調為理由離開了公司半年之久，最後被證實做了肝臟移植手術。不過經過這兩次對抗病魔後，賈伯斯的身形每況愈下，越來越單薄的體型也讓外界非常擔心。

如今，賈伯斯再次因病暫離Apple，必定將會對於未來的Apple發展蒙上一層陰影。在暫離的這段時間將會由Tim Cook代理，這或許也是為什麼Verizon發表會上是Tim Cook出現的原因。
